Ørsted
A high impact Corporate Responsibility Report for the world’s largest developer of offshore energy.

Read more about how we transformed technical language into compelling content →

The Brief

We were appointed by the world’s largest offshore wind supplier, Ørsted, to design their annual UK Corporate Responsibility Report. The brief was to transform a text-heavy and technical document into an engaging report that showcased the organisation’s social and sustainability actions and results. It was crucial that the report be made easy to access and understand.

What We Did

We took a very detailed text report and made it easier to digest. We broke the text by employing strict copy-editing and streamlining the content. We added infographics, charts and illustrations to help summarise information at a glance. We incorporated vibrant, relatable and inspirational images to help bring the brochure to life and engage the audience.

Outcome

Working closely alongside our client we developed a strong understanding of their brand values and implementation guidelines. We were produced a stylish, well balanced, and sophisticated 32-page report – that was accessible digitally and in hardcopy. We produced Ørsted's first CSR report in 2016 and were subsequently appointed to produce future editions.

The Brief

We developed an initial scheme brand to help Sheffield City Council and Queensberry’s market their £470 million Heart of the City regeneration scheme. This mixed use scheme is being delivered on a block by block basis. Our brief was to produce marketing materials that were consistently branded but focussed on specific blocks.

What We Did

We developed a new brand identity, narrative and voice for the regeneration scheme – one that showcased the key drivers, its importance to the city and why the people of Sheffield should be excited. We then implemented the brand across the scheme’s website and social media platforms. We helped to position the scheme in the market by providing the client, and their appointed agents, with the materials they needed to engage with prospective occupiers.

Outcome

The brand proved very successful. It helped give a unified identity and sense of understanding to the complicated “phased” development. In addition to online platforms, we rolled the brand out across several marketing channels, including construction site hoardings and a large suite of leasing brochures which were designed to showcase the commercial opportunities to potential occupiers and reflect the exceptional quality of the scheme.

Sheffield Business Improvement District
A new visual brand identity to shape the next 5 years.

The Brief

Sheffield BID wanted to refresh its visual brand identity, which was perceived as “safe” and too closely aligned to the Council’s own branding. To coincide with the brand launch, Sheffield BID also wanted to release a newly designed prospectus that outlined its five-year strategy.

What We Did

We guided Sheffield BID through a branding process and by working closely, we were able to investigate the key aspirations and desires for a new visual identity. We produced a new logo, colour scheme, typography and tone of voice – all of which were a clear reflection of the organisation’s values and future ambitions. We also focussed heavily on selecting key brand imagery of local businesses and the BID’s workforce, which helped create trust and understanding in the organisation.

Outcome

We created a vivid new identity that really allowed the BID to take ownership of its brand and confidently stand out in the city. The new brand, tone of voice and photography were all clearly showcased in the new strategy prospectus. In addition to the 64-page prospectus, we produced a brand toolkit to ensure the brand could be rolled out consistently and effectively in the future.

Indivior
Internal communication materials to drive business change in a global pharmaceutical company.

Read more about how we helped drive change across a global business →

The Brief

Indivior is a global pharmaceutical company. Counter Context supported the organisation when it was implementing a series of new internal procedures, processes, targets and attitudes into its day-to-day work streams. As part of this project, the client needed core materials that outlined the new business changes in a clear and effective way.

What We Did

One of the key communication tools we used was a series of short animated films to be used by management team in workshops. These animations needed to clearly demonstrate the journey Indivior employees would need to take to successfully implement the new business changes. The animated film showed Indivior’s employees boarding an aeroplane and taking the journey required to successfully embed these business changes. The flight metaphor made the project relatable to employees who were familiar with extensive global travel.

Outcome

We provided the client with some engaging, fun and relatable video content to support the successful implementation of some key regulatory business improvement changes. The feedback from the Indivior management team confirmed that the content clearly highlighted the key internal process changes, engaged the audience, and provided a clear sense of ownership and togetherness.

Offshore Wind Industry Council
Helping to produce a comprehensive bid to government.

The Brief

Through our understanding of the offshore wind industry, we were asked to design a brochure that supported the Offshore Wind Industry Council’s joined-up proposal to government for a new Sector Deal in 2018.

What We Did

We drafted and designed an engaging, attractive and informative lobbying booklet that targeted government officials and demonstrated the key arguments and supportive evidence. To bring the long and text-heavy content to life and make it more engaging and visually exciting, we broke up large sections of copy by using attractive infographics and photography from the offshore wind industry. We also created bespoke illustrations that showcased many of the industry’s regional innovation clusters.

Outcome

The lobbying brochure formed one part of the joined-up pitch to Government, which was ultimately successful in achieving a new Sector Deal for the offshore wind industry. Our acclaimed corporate communications work on this helped strengthen our position in the green energy sector and we have since worked with several of the organisations involved in delivering the sector deal.
