We are delighted to have been awarded a contract to work with the University of Leicester to deliver public affairs support on an ambitious Capital Estates Programme, a major redevelopment of its property portfolio.
Our strong track record in delivering successful stakeholder engagement programmes within the built environment made a us a natural fit for the project. We were also able to demonstrate specific experience of working within the academic sectors on similar programmes, including the University of Manchester and Salford City College.
As part of its strategic plan, the University is seeking to redevelop parts of the campus, delivering improvements to its education and research offer, creating world leading facilities and making a significant investment into the city.
We will support the university through the planning application process. Our remit will also include engaging a wide number of stakeholders such as university employees, local MPs and councillors, community and special interest groups and the media, to increase awareness, understanding and support for the programme.
Account Director Harriet Knowles, who is leading our work with the university, said:
“The University of Leicester is embarking on an ambitious and impressive programme that will secure its place as a leading higher education institution, nationally and internationally. We are delighted to be involved and very confident in our ability to deliver a robust and meaningful engagement programme.
“This comes at a busy and exciting time for Counter Context as we grow the team and continue to broaden our expertise and client portfolio. We are looking forward to welcoming new team members who will help us to deliver a wide range of exciting projects like this one.”
